Fun Monday

Happy Monday!!

We had a great weekend with Carla and Jack! The boys loved having their grandparents here. They got in on Saturday morning and we hung around here and visited. Then on Sunday we took a tour of Philadelphia. It was a special tour I found online called "Duck Tours" we rode in a cool vehicle that travels on land and is also equipped with a propeller so it acts as a boat in the water. We drove through the ciity streets and saw The Liberty Bell, Betsy Ross' House, and tons of other historical sights. Then we rolled down the Delaware River and saw even more...including the very swanky condo where Will Smith's father lives. It was a beautiful day and we all had the best time. They play crazy loud music on the speaker system and everyone gets a "quacker"whistle type of thing that quacks when you blow into it. very interactive! Next time I want to go to South Street and shop and eat and drink. The whole time I was thinking it would have been really neat if we didn't have our sweet boys to live downtown and experience that lifestyle. But no way would/could I do it with the kids. Suburbs are what we are used to and it fits us well. (smile) Anyways...it was a great sightseeing trip. I feel like we are finally starting to take advantage of living in this part of the country. Now I have a list in my head of the places I want to check out. Here is a picture of the bus in the water. On land it looks like a boat/bus on wheels.

We have a really busy week coming up. Tomorrow Cooper has a b'day party to go to right after school. I am loooking forward to it becauwe it will give me a chance to get to know some of the other moms from his school better. It will be nice to have some ladies to visit with.

Austen has been working on an invention project for school for the last few weeks. He had to invent something and write about it and actually build the creation or a model of it. He invented an automatic frisbee thrower. His model is really cool and he is very proud of his work. It had to be set up on one of those science project styled boards. Tomorrow is the "Invention Convention"at his school. It's like a science fair for these inventions the third graders made. We are looking forward to seeing what everyone came up with and especially how Austen's looks. Such fun!

We have learned this weekend as the pretty spring folliage has emerged so have tics. Cooper had one crawling on him when he came home the other day and Asuten found one on him today. Yuck!!!! I don't have much experience with these critters, but I guess I am about to get some (smile). We have started doing daily body checks on the boys. Hopefully we won't see any/many more. Gross!!!!!

I will post pics from our weekend as soon as Carla emails me some from her camera. Y'all have a great day tomorrow!!! kc
