Silly Clothes Day

Here are the very "special" outfits the boys came up with for VBS tonight. They are loveing this silly stuff each night. Tomorrow they get to wear their Secret Agent VBS T shirts and have a pizza party.

Austen had his last day of Basketball camp today. He loved it and we are planning on going to some of the College games this year. He wanted to have pics of him in the Tshirt they gave him. I took the boring one of him in his shirt, then the little model that he is decided that he wanted to have a picture of him holding a ball. Not to be outdone, Cooper grabbed a ball too. But he couldn't be bothered with looking at the camera, whatever was on Tv was too interesting (smile)







I made the biggest craziest mistake with dinner tonight! I made Broccoli Chicken, which I make all the time. It is Pat Price's recipe and it has Curry in it, which is what makes it different from other broccoli chicken recipes I have tried. It is a big favorite around here. So I whipped it up and served it to the boys (Chris was on his way home). I tasted mine and it was a lot more spicy than usual. so I made Jamie a replacement meal. The other boys ate theirs but they wiped a lot of the sauce off becasue they thought it was too spicy. So, I called Chris and told him I was eager for him to try it and tell me why it tasted different than usua. He said I probably over did the Curry or something. So I figured that was it, too. I really like the curry flavor so I always put extra in and don't measure.

Chris tried it and agreed it was good, but different, definitely very spicy. So I decided to take a look at the jar of curry...NO not curry, Cayenne pepper! I can't believe I made that big of a mistake and served it to my little guys. It isn't even the same color! I am a dork. But, If you have the recipe and ever want to add a little kick, Just add a tsp. of cayenne pepper. BUT do not add like 3 TBS like I did...Yikes!
