Wow! we are sooo on vacation hangover! We had a great quck trip to The Cape this weekend. Mom and Kenzie flew in on Thursday night and we headed out Friday morning. It took us about 9 hours. We stopped at the best seafood place in Providence for a yummy..no, Super yummy lobster roll. Legal Seafood is the chowder served to presidents and we had that too. They had a great selection of cocktails that I was mouthwatering for, but driving four children in the rain, I opted for diet Coke. Caffeine was a much more responsible choice for me (smile).
The 4 kids and I spent Friday night at my cousin, Erin's, house. It was awesome because she has two precious girls and a killer playroom. so the kids could go nuts. We spent Saturday swimming at Aunt Alice's house and again, the kids had a blast! I loved spending time with my cousin. With all the kids it seems like we never have enough time to visit, but this time we got a little extra time for that. Also, a couple of my Aunts came over to say hi and that was so sweet. they are great!
We headed onto the Cape on Saturday afternoon, where Rob nad Laura had a cookout and we pigged out! My big ole' complements to our chefs! The shower for Baby Bowen Sunday was so sweet. She is goiong to be all set. The kids had the BEST time ever at the beach Sunday. I forgot my camera so I bought a disposable one. I'll take it to be developed to disc later so I can post pics of my beach boys. In the meantime, Laura and Shauna have some pics on their blogs. Check out their links.
Our drive home was faster. We made really good time and I am stil exhausted. It is hard taking all the boys on trips without Chris. We missed in him more than one way. I think he enjoyed his bachelor weekend at home. He got some things done he needed to without having kids tagging along. But he left town Monday before we got home. He gets back tonight, thank goodness! I need some Chris time!
So, posts aren't so fun without pics, but those should come later or tomorrow. I am vegging out on the couch until I recoup from the weekend and driving. Even the boys don't have energy today. Love y'all!
