Thanksgiving Success!

We had a great Thanksgiving on our own this year. I was pretty certain that I wasn't going to cook too much, since it was just us, but I went overboard (like you're supposed to on Thanksgiving) and created a real feast. The boys loved getting to drink their Coke from wine goblets and using our china. We have tons of leftovers for yummy turkey sandwiches this weekend! Here is the rundown of what I made this year: Turkey, stuffing, homemade cranberry sauce, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, mac n cheese, pink fluff, rolls, corn, and a lemon bundt cake for dessert. FYI...the cake id already gone (smile).

Jamie Pie used two of his compartment plate/bowl things and PIGGED OUT! He ate more than both of his brothers combined, I think. We call him our little garbage disposal. Even the cats were after the turkey. We had to lock them in the other room to keep them off the table. (smile) I snapped a couple of pics of them nibbling at the turkey platter, but I won't post those, as I know that some people are really offended by animals near the dinner table. We were lazy after dinner and watched football. I had a glass of wine at dinner then had to take a nap in the afternoon...what a lightweight!

Today we are going to start some organizing projects around the house that we have been meaning to do. Also, we got to talking last night and are going to rearrange furniture becasue we figured out a place to put the Christmas tree. I am mostly excited to rearrange furniture becasue I can vaccum under the couches...woo hoo!

Enjoy the pictures. Don't you love Jamie's messy face? We missed family and talked about how we usually spend the holiday, but all in all we had a special time celebrating our own Thanksgiving this year. I hope it was all that Chris wanted it to be. Now we get to get in the Christmas spirit!
