Friday already???

I cant believe it is Friday already. This week has flown by, with Christmas and all. Last night I slept on the sofa...not by choice, but to save myslef from further bruising. Cooper had himself all nestled into my side of the bed when I turned in nice and early. I tried to wedge myself in and take over my pillow, but after and hour and a half and many kicks to the abdomen, back, kidneys, later Godzilla, the cat joined us. He proceeded to be very snuggly and take over most of my pillow. I was hot and sick of the pain so I packed it in and came downstairs. We have got to get better about refusing to let Cooper into our bed. It just doesnt seem so important at the end of a long and Cooper filled day. Note to self: It becomes important when mommy needs some ZZZZ's.

The boys have been super sweet again today. Jamie was up early so he took his nap early today and I decided to rest on the couch and catch up on some of those ZZZs. While I dozed, Austen made lunch for himself and the Coopster. They have been playing with their new loot all day and sharing. This after Christmas week is the best. They are way too busy to want to harrass me..Love it!

We do not have any plans for New Year's eve. I told Aussie he can have a friend sleep over, like he has for the past few years. Chris will be home, so maybe we will rent a great movie and have a glass of the yummy champagne that Jill and Jim sent us for Christmas. Next Friday I have the best plans EVER! You know how I mentioned in my post about Xmas that I had been kind of down in the dumps' lately? Well, part of that is that I truly don't have much time to myself. I don't require much, but none isn't working too well. I adore my family and love keeping their worlds turning, but I haven't made too much of a life for myself up here. So anyways...my point was that I NEED some ME time. Chris lived in the Hilton in Phily for months before we moved up here and travelled a lot every place else too. Therefore he has racked up many many hotel points. So he booked me a room at a hotel in Philly for two nights next weekend. It is a gorgeous place, not the airport hotel (smile0. And it is within walking distance of all the Philadelphia attractions that I want to explore like the museums and South Street. I am going to spend 48 hours doing just what I want to do and taking bubble baths and painting my nails, without worying about someone needing to be held before they dry and whatever else I feel like doing. I haven't been this excited about something in a while! I only have to pack for one person and plan for one...no diapers...woo hoo! I have been looking online for the museums I want to see, what exhibits are interesting and what admission prices are, etc. I wish Chris could at least come into the city for dinner Saturday night, but we have literally lost our babysitter. She has disappeared.

I owe Chris big time for this special treat. He is in for a busy weekend on his own. These boys are a lot to handle for two whole days on his own (smile). Fortunately he is the best Dad in the world, and he'll be just fine!

They have a game at the stadium on sunday, so Chris will be working a lot this weekend. I am so glad the season is almost over and his hours will cut down some soon. It was so great to have him home for 4 days straight over Christmas.
