summer fun

well, Not too much has been going on here. We went swimming again today. Austen is still a fish, but Cooper is very cautious around the water. He was on the phone with my dad yesterday and he told him that he has to stay in the baby pool or he will sink. So we look pretty silly all hanging out in the baby pool. Austen gets bored in the big pool unless there are other kids there so he usually comes to the baby pool to hang out too. Jamie Pie loves to splish splash!

While we were hanging out a teen age ish kid(maybe 19-20) came over by us and said, "Hey Cooper, How ya doing? Where's your ni-night?" So I was a little freaked out that he knew Coop. I introduced myself and he did the same and went on to tell me that he and Cooper had met while all the kids were out playing the other day and after introducing Ni-Night, Cooper had told the boy that he loved him. It is so funny to see a big guy like that turn to mush about a 4 year old telling him he loves him. Cooper makes friends everywhere we go.On that same topic. Pat Price sent us a really cool and yummy "Edible Arrangement" of fruits in May. We weren't home to receive the package so we had to go to our neighbor's house a few doors down to rettrieve it. I introduced myself to the nice lady and when she saw Coop, she too said, "Hi Cooper, and Hi Ni-night" She told me that she and Cooper are old pals. Yikes! Everyone knows my kid...is that a good or bad sign??? So far no one has said they met while he was vandalizing anthing or wandering off. He is real good about staying with the group outside and doesn't like to be by himself. He just takes the time to talk to all of the passers-by.And apparently to tell them that he loves them. I have thought about telling him not to tell people he doesn't know that he loves them (he often does this in the checkout line at stores and other places when we are out), but I decided that he is an innocent little guy and if he wants to say something nice like that, who am I to stop him?.. Besides, most people he says it to respond with a big smile if they don't know what to say or they tell him that they love him too.

We found a cool place on my quest to find some summer fun. There is a farm near us that you can go pick your own berries. They have berries, peaches, pears, apples, corn....like everything depending on the season. Right now they are at the end of strawberry season and Saturday kicks off raspberry and cherry picking season. So we are going to venture out and pick us some berries later this week. Sounds like fun!

Chris is working like a maniac so we have to entertain ourselves. Luckily swimming is easy and close and FREE. We are also joining the summer reading club at the library.

I'll try to get some new pics tomorrow of my crazies! Love y'all! kc

Cooper cracks me up - all of the neighbors know Chase too!! They are just so funny! I really love that they knew Coopy's ni-night before they knew his mama! Cracks me up!

I wouldn't change a thing about Cooper. His personality is what makes him so very special. who wouldn't love such an adorable little boy. when he says it to complete strangers they will know that he hears "I love you" often in his own life. Just think he could be calling them all sugarplum when he tells them he loves them. Now that would crack me up.
