Howdy Folks!

So we are still alive and well! Lots going on so we have not been at the computer much. We are going home to Tx. next week for 12 days! We are all soooo excited! I can't wait to spend quality time with family and catch up with friends. Ya know it is so different raising kids 2ooo miles away from family, because I have always been so blessed to get to share every milestone with everyone I was so fortunate to live so close to. I can't wait for all the grandparents to get to see what an eager reader and big boy Austen has become, how much Coopie has matured as well as the funny things he does these days, and of course, to get to benefit from all of Jamie Pie's love and affection. He is the biggest snuggle bug ever!

Queeny was out here a couple of weeks ago. We had a great visit. We shopped at Christmas Tree Shoppe and ate at Olive Garden. Big treat for me. We were hoping to get out to a movie but got caught up playing with the kiddoes instead. They all fought for her attention...and of course, she happily made sure they all got precious one on one time with her. She played with Austen, played 'house' with Cooper (his favorite game these days) and snuggled all over Jamie Pie.

Racing season has started so Chris is being pulled for some of the races in other states. His traveling stinks becasue we just ended football season it seems and we were really enjoying having him home every night at a decent hour. My boys have turned into the bigest Daddy's boys ever. Jamie stares at Chris' pictures all day and repeats "Daddy" over and over again. Cooper asks all day when Daddy will be home and you ought to hear the commotion when that front door opens at night. It is "Daddy'!!!!! shouted all over the place by all three boys. They have always been close with him, but since he was gone so much throughout football season, the excitement about having him home has increased a thousand times over. They couldn't care less about me. (smile).

We haven't had much snow this winter, unfortunately. I figure if it's gonna be cold, it may as well be snowy. Oh well. One of the reasons I haven't been posting much is becasue the keyboard to my laptop is laughable. I am missing so many keys it is crazy. That is why I have so many typos. So I had been putting off caling Dell to inquire about a new keyboard becasue I was sure it would be super expensive. Well, I was sooo wrong.. The new keyboard will only be $11. But they are out of stock. So as soon as they get some I will be able to repair my silly keyboard. I mean it is really bad! Carla tried tol use it in Dec. when they were here and gave up really quickly.

I got my hair all cut off a coupleof weeks ago. It had gotten pretty long, but was such a pain to dry and I was just putting it in a pony tail every day. So I got a shorter haircut I really like. It's a bob like I always seem to do when my hair gets too long, but the stylist put just the right layers in it and listened to me carefully about what I wanted. It was a Supercuts cut...$12 woo hoo! Then I had the bright idea to give myself some highlights. That was not in the budget, so I used the same kit I use when I do Asuten's tips in the summer time. It had a pull through cap and said itr would work on light blonde to dark brown hair. Well, this was my first experience with a cap and I was nervous, but I knew I could just dye it all brown if it didn't work. BUT it did a really good job. I am so pleased. Oh- I have a picture. I willn add it on here. Off topic but about that picture...Jamie wanted his picture taken. I knew this becasue he brought me my camera and said, "cheese". So I tried to take a pic of him, but he just likes to look at the vview finder. so I put him in my lap and took a picture of us together. He kept loking at me, not the camera. I got one of him looking at the camera and he is making the funniest face. I think he was squinting at the flash. I will add that one too.

Well I need to get busy on some housework, ,but wanted to catch up a bit. I have vowed to myself to be better about my blogging. I think I am going to sin up for the payperpost thing that Shauna did. I am also going to add my links and such back. Have a super day, Y'all! XOXOXO kc
