Last night I watched "Blonde Ambition" The Jessica simpson movie that went straight to DVD. I know it got bad reviews and all, but I like cute chick flicks and am not a big critic. So I was having trouble sleeping so I chose this movie from On Demand. I can't even tell you how bad it was. There were some really big names in it and some very recognizeable faces including Willie Nelson and Luke Wilson. Luke Wilson was the only decent performance in the whole thing. I mean Jessica Simpson was supposed to be a small town gal from Oklahoma, but she didn't even have a southern drawl except for when she referred to he Granddad as Pa-Paw. I mean you'd think a girl from Tx. could at least put on her best twang in a scene with Willie Nelson for Goodness sake. So all in all...don't waste your time with this one. Big bummer.
We are getting so excited about our trip in a few days. Today was chores day and I have to finish laundry so I can pack everyone up. I fell in absolute LOVE with a new Vera Bradley bag I wish I had for the trip. It would make the perfect carry on. It's called the Super Tote...sounds fun doesn't it? I am going to put it on my birthday wish list so we can hopefully use it this summer. I am a sucker for bags anyway, but this one is awesome. The new prints are so cute. My favorite is called Raspberry Fizzy...check it out.
Cooper is way into action figures riht now. He twists and turns and jumps everywhere. He is full of boundless energy. He watched Spiderman last week and then announced that he was bit by a spider just like Peter Parker. Cooper, however, told us he was bit by a blue widow and he is now Ni-Night man. That boy cracks me up. Aside from Spiderman, he is also into Star Wars. I love to listen to him act out scenarios from his Star Wars adventures with his action figures. He has the biggest imagination ever!
Austen was invited to go to a summer day camp at University of Delaware this summer. It sounds really cool. Its a two week program. Here are a few quotes from the brochure; "will focus on exploring inside the human body, constructing robotic devices to replicate body mechanics and functions, and introducing students to the creation of interactive animation, games and art using MIT's Scratch program."
Doesn't that sound like just his cup of tea? It is mucho dinero, so we are going to need to start saving now and look into a scholarship possibility. Sounds like he will have a great summer between that camp and the Johnsonburg camp he wants to go to again. Lucky kid!
Oh- and I wanted to let you know, if you have an ACME or Albertson's grocery store or one in the same company (I don't know all the names of the local stores, but it is probably easy to look up) They have General Mills cereal on sale through the 10th 8 boxes for $8. I stocked up tonight. we go through tons of cereal so that is an awesome value for me.
OKay... enough stream of consciousness posting. I need to get busy. Hugs!kc
